D.C. Metro-based Accounting Firms Join Forces to Expand Service Offerings

Rockville, MD, September 6, 2005/PRNewswire/ -- Aronson & Company (A&C), a nationally ranked top 50 accounting and consulting firm recently announced a merger with Capron Associates, LLP (Capron), a small public accounting firm based in Bethesda, Md. By combining professional staffing resources and client bases, the companies will be able to offer their clients a more diverse set of services and more effective staff coverage on client engagements.

In recent years, the accounting landscape has undergone tremendous change, particularly the middle market accounting firm. Small to mid-si zed firms have benefited from regulatory developments affecting large national firms, but these benefits have also compelled smaller firms to change the way that they do business.

Capron will be absorbed into A&C’s current organi zational structure and operate under the A&C name, joining their counterparts at the A&C headquarters in Rockville, Md.
