Jeffery P. Capron, CPA/ABV, President

Jeffery P. CapronJeffery P. Capron, CPA/ABV, leads the Firm’s Diversified Commercial Services Group and has spent more than 30 years in the industry. He graduated cum laude from Bucknell University in 1973 and earned his Juris Doctorate from George Washington University’s National Law Center in 1978.

As the Officer in charge of the Diversified Commercial Services Group, Jeff is responsible for audit, accounting, consulting, and tax services to a broad group of commercial entities, including emerging companies. The group serves clients in a number of industries, including technology companies, hospitality, manufacturing, wholesale, publishing, and professional services.

Jeff also serves as an Officer in Aronson LLC’s Forensic & Valuation Services Group, assisting attorneys and their clients by providing litigation support and expert testimony, primarily as it may relate to valuation, classification and other financial issues associated with family law and general civil disputes.

Jeff is a certified public accountant licensed in DC, MD and VA; a member of the Bar of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals; and has earned his certification as an Accredited Personal Financial Specialist (APFS) as well as the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation.

Jeff frequently is asked to provide expert commentary regarding issues in the industry and is an active member of the AICPA and MACPA. He serves as a Board Member and the Co-Chair of Finance of The National Fund for the U.S. Botanic Garden, and as a Board Member and Treasurer for Building Bridges Across the River, Inc. Additionally, he is a Trustee of the John Edward Fowler Memorial Foundation and President of the Aronson Foundation (a charitable grantor organization). Jeff currently sits on the Aronson LLC Board of Directors.

Jeff served as the Managing Partner of Capron & Associates, LLP when they merged with Aronson LLC in 2005.


Robert S. Bender, CPA, Director

Robert S. BenderRobert S. Bender, CPA serves as an Officer in the Firm's Private Business group. He joined the Firm in 1980 and has spent over 28 years in the industry. Bob earned his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the City University of New York in 1974. Robert's clients include medical and dental practices, law practices, wholesale distribution companies, and small and mid-sized businesses of many types.

Bob specializes in accounting and taxation for higher net worth individuals and small and professional businesses, taxation strategies, and accounting systems. As an expert in the field, he has made various presentations to professional groups such as Merrill Lynch, Legg Mason, N.I.H. Hispanic Physicians Association, CitiBank, Provident Bank, and RE/MAX. Bob has also provided articles for Car & Truck Dealer Insider Newsletter and Outlook Magazine. With the help of others in his group, Bob also produces The Bender Report, an electronic business, financial and tax newsletter.

Bob is an active member of AICPA, Greater Washington Society of CPAs, Montgomery County Business Professionals, and he is also a past nominee of the “Small Business Advocate of the Year" award for Montgomery County. Bob is active in various community efforts and serves on the Board of Directors of the Aronson Foundation and the Will Group Foundation, both organizations focused on helping Metro area youth.


William C. Foote, CPA, Director

William C. FooteBill Foote serves as an Officer in the Firm's Forensic & Valuation Services Group, where he assists clients with complex valuation projects and litigation matters. He has over 13 years of valuation, litigation support, and assurance experience serving middle market companies and entrepreneurs in the government contracting, technology, construction and real estate, and professional services industries. Bill received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from James Madison University, where he majored in both accounting and operations management.

Bill has valued privately-held businesses, business interests, and intangibles for various purposes including: stock option plans, purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment testing, S Corporation conversions, estate and gift tax compliance, litigation, and business transactions. He has addressed financial and economic issues for litigation matters such as: marital dissolution, contractual disputes, owner disputes, and employment disputes. In addition, Bill has been designated as an expert witness and has presented trial testimony.

Bill is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Maryland and Virginia, and he also holds the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) designations.

Bill is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA). He currently serves on the VSCPA’s Professional Ethics Committee as well as its Editorial Task Force. In addition, Bill has written and spoken on topics related to valuation and litigation services.


Jack E. Koniszewski, CPA, Director

Jack E. KoniszewskiJack E. Koniszewski, CPA leads the Firm's Tax Services group. He joined the Firm in 1987 and has spent over 30 years in the industry. Jack earned his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University in 1974. Jack's clients include real estate developers, construction contractors, technology companies, homebuilders, and professional and technical service firms.

Jack specializes in tax research and planning, compliance, representation before federal and state tax authorities, and transactional analysis. He utilizes his outstanding technical background and years of experience to develop innovative and creative tax planning alternatives and solutions for clients.

As an expert in the field, he has made various presentations to a variety of professional organizations on topics that include mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation planning, partnerships, capital gain tax planning, and choice of entity. He is an active member of AICPA.


Stephen W. White, Director

Stephen W. WhiteStephen W. White currently serves as Aronson LLC's Chief Administrative Officer. With extensive experience helping organizations achieve their growth goals, Stephen has developed proven, innovative marketing strategies that have helped nonprofits reach and exceed their objectives.

Stephen specializes in the construction and implementation of creative and technical solutions designed to increase mission awareness and bolster charitable contributions. Stephen has had great success working with Aronson Philanthropic Partners, an affiliate of Aronson LLC, to assist their clients in achieving their planned giving goals. He designs creative marketing strategies that help many national nonprofit organizations increase the size and frequency of much needed donations. Clients that have benefited from his innovative ideas include VFW, National Parks Foundation, American Diabetes Association, National Mental Health Association, The Foundation for Fighting Blindness and Black Rock Center for the Performing Arts.

Stephen is a member of various trade organizations and holds certificates in a variety of sales and technical training specialties. Additionally, he is frequently asked to comment on sales and marketing related issues by the media and professional organizations, including a recent presentation to the National Capital Gift Planning Council titled, "Communicating the Planned Giving Message to Your Donor File."
